The North Adams FRC is hosting two upcoming programs to support local families this summer: the Nurturing Families Workshop Series and Summer Fun Support Groups (see program flyers below).
The Nurturing Families Workshop Series runs 4-6pm at nbCC, 61 Main St, Suite 218, North Adams. Classes can be taken individually and cover topics including:
- 7/13: Ages & Stages (Infants and Toddlers)
- 7/20: Brain Development in Children & Teens
- 7/27: Communicating with Respect
- 8/3: Building Self-Worth
- 8/10: Understanding Feelings
- 8/17: Morals, Values, and Family Rules
- 8/24: Praising Children & Their Behavior
- 8/31: Dealing with Stress & Anger

Summer Fun Support Groups take Parenting Together and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren outside this summer, 11am-1pm at various locations. Build-your-own sandwich supplies, snacks, and water are included. Registration is required, and transportation is available upon request. In case of rain, sessions will be cancelled.
