Two recent articles are putting a spotlight on the work happening at Family Resource Centers across Massachusetts.
The Boston Globe’s Parenting Unfiltered column featured the Nurturing Fathers Program, a DCF-run initiative helping dads build stronger relationships with their kids through a 13-week curriculum focused on emotional connection and vulnerability. Since 2018, 216 dads have graduated from the program, which is open to all fathers, not just those involved with DCF. The piece follows several program graduates who share how the experience changed how they show up for their children.
The Daily Hampshire Gazette also featured Sandi Walters, who oversees The Bridge Family Resource Center in Amherst, describing FRCs as welcoming, family-friendly spaces where the goal is building trust and connection with families, offering hope and support as they work through challenges together.
Great to see FRCs recognized for the impact they’re making in communities across the state!
